Electrochemical aluminum hot stamping process is a very popular printing technology in modern printing industry. It is a printing method that transfers the aluminum layer in anodized aluminum to the surface of the substrate through hot press transfer technology to form a special metal effect. This paper will introduce the principle, process and precautions of anodized hot stamping process in detail.


Principle of 1. Electrochemical Aluminum Stamping Process


The anodized hot stamping process uses the principle of hot pressing transfer to transfer the aluminum layer in anodized aluminum to the surface of the substrate to form a special metal effect. Specifically, this printing technology requires the use of a hot stamping machine, which transfers the hot stamping foil on the printing machine to the surface of the substrate by hot pressing to form a hot stamping pattern.

Preparation: first need to prepare anodized hot stamping foil, hot stamping machine, hot stamping base plate and other printing equipment.

Plate making: the designed hot stamping pattern is made into a hot plate.

Finishing: After hot stamping is completed, the printed matter needs to be sorted, trimmed, folded, etc.

Production of design draft: hot stamping patterns need to be made, so the requirements of the layout need to be taken into account in the production process of the design draft to avoid too small elements and other difficult plate-making situations.

The choice of hot stamping foil: Different hot stamping foils have different metal effects, and it is necessary to choose the appropriate hot stamping foil according to the requirements of the printed matter.

Parameter setting of the hot stamping machine: The temperature, pressure and other parameters of the hot stamping machine need to be set reasonably according to the characteristics of the hot stamping foil and the substrate to ensure the quality of the hot stamping.

Material selection of substrates: anodized hot stamping process is suitable for substrates of various materials, but substrates of different materials need to be targeted to select the bronzing process.
